Thanks for this RainCatcher.

Yeah, the open sourced software is a good option but setting up is thrawt with lots of techie stuff and the screens look incredibly user unfriendly (forexample if i dont write html or so i'm preverbially nakkered. What is your experience with them? are you are programmer? I have programmed at uni many moons ago but...

But I will download one (NVU) and have a play. Thank you very much.

Why don't you get a shop at Ebay?

It won't get simpler than that.

I actually bought a great package on Front Page from www.599cd.com . These tutorials are great. They're in the style of video Professor, but not as difficult. Of course, you'd have to have MS Front Page already loaded.

Thanks for all these ideas. So much help. many regards to all. Yes Sirius the Microsoft way is very attractive because there's so much documentation so easier to learn plus when you get the shopping site going it ties in perfectly with Excel Spreadsheets and the other shopsite essential the Database(microsoft Access for eg.). But being a "wanna know it all and more control about the site " i was tending to the Open Source software like ZenCart, NVU(refer above) or osCommerce (the others i just found by Searches). My problem yesterday was that they all use the database "mySQL" and not Microsoft Access (which is real handy in case things go great for business and so it's much easier to hire people to use the system if it's Microsoft Software. But then i also found (on the web) how to change from mySQL to Access and ViceVersa. so problem solved. I've just installed all the goodies and will be ready to start experimenting with ZenCart OpenSource Shopping Software tomo. So far its been fun, (even the little programming i've done setting up) I hope to build a good site and hopefully more than the track. xie xie nimen. If you have any suggetstions or questions please do not hesitate to add to this thread.
