I'm a big guy, looking to buy a bike for exercise. I dont want to spend a million dollars on a 1000 gear bike, just a normal bike. I live on Lantau Island / Tung Chung. Also, if i were to buy one someplace, can i get it home on the MTR?

There's a bike shop at the ground floor of the Yat Tung commercial center that you can check out. From the Citygate bus terminal, take bus #38. Only 5mins from Citygate, get off at the last (and only, I think) stop which is Yat Tung estate/Tung Chung Catholic School.
Also in the Fu Tung market (across the Caribbean Coast bus stops and Tung Chung MTR station), there are 2 bike shops there. Don't know what quality/level you are looking at, so best to check them out. We rented road bikes yesterday for $10/hour from one of the bike shops and had a good ride by the waterfront. Lots of bike paths nearby..
