Annoying Sex Requests on Skype

There're so many annoying sex requests when I'm in Skype Me mode. I once answered a call by accident and the other end started "performing" on the webcam. Yuck!


I do enjoy clean chats for pastime so I don't wanna give up Skype cuz of those morons. Is there any way I can block users from certain country? Almost all such requests come from Turkey! Then a few here and there from India and United States.

Me either! never such luck but dont ya just love human creativity!! naa dont want their contacts i'll just stay innocent for now! anyway a suggestion: why don't ya just switch webcam off for all "first dates" then if there's a next time.....!!

There are plenty of settings in Skype that let you limit who can call you and who can and cannot send you video.

Also, if you have your Status set to Skype Me then change it to Online.

SkypeMe mode allows everyone else on Skype know that you are available and interested in talking or chatting. This includes people who you do not know or you have not authorized but who can find you by searching the Skype directory. Skype Me mode disables your privacy settings and allows anyone to contact you, whether you've authorized them or not. Your privacy settings are restored as soon as you leave Skype Me mode.

Skype (especially if you take advantage of Skype Out and Skype In) is an incredible communication tool and way better than anything else I have used.
