My LO has just started to sleep through (well sort of!). I generally put her down at 7pm ish and then give her a dreamfeed at 11pm.
Most times she wakes at 11pm but goes back to sleep within 10 mins.
She then sleeps until 5am or 530am. We try to coax her back to sleep but she wants to start the day!
Can you share your experiences with us and any tricks that you have used to get your LO to sleep 7 to 7. (doesnt have to be til 7am...6 ish is fine - 5am is a little toooooo early for me!).
Thanks

mine is 5 months plus, bedtime 7pm, dream feed 10.30pm, usually sleeps until 7pm BUT often he is up before that. if it is after 6.30am, we just leave him be in his cot and he usually amuses himself with his hands and toes chewings until we feed him at 7am.
anything before 6.30am, i will go and check what is wrong...usually will try to settle him back to bed but if that doesn't work, and it's like 5ish already, we'll just sleep with each other on the extra bed in room until 7am. ok this we seldom do, in fact i tend to leave him be (even if he cries for like 5 mins) as i want him to settle on his own. but the past month, if this happens, i will go to him because he does lots of flipping and rolling in bed and gets stuck between the cot bars!

How old is your LO? Mine is 13mths and used to sleep from 7:30 pm til 7 am. 2 weeks ago he started waking up at 5:30 sharp every morning. Due to teething he mostly had a big pooh in his nappy so I had to take him out of bed and change him. Very difficult to get him back to sleep afterwards. Nothing helped, no settling back, no controlled crying and if we took him into our bed he started doing gymnastics all over us. The only thing that worked for us was putting him back into his bed with his morning milk. He drank the bottle by himself and fell back to sleep until 6:30 / 7. Today he slept through until 6:15 w/o a pooh.

asking, how is your LO doing with the early wake ups? Mines back to 7:30 pm to 7 / 7:30 am. Had to do controlled crying for 20min one morning and now he's fine for the past two days.

She is still waking at 5:30. Very occasionally she will go back to sleep til 6:30 but in most cases we either just get up or try to coax her back to sleep (sometimes taking about an hour! and thats to sleep an extra 30 mins in most cases!!!).
Started to put her down at 8pm to see if the later bedtime made any difference - no!
Im hoping that she will gradually get better but in the meantime we are up with the larks

You aren't the only one up at that hour so don't fret! Although I still fret about it most days.
My two year old has always been an early riser and we're just glad it's 6am now and not 5 as it has been in the past.
My 8 month old sleeps longer but as they share a room that sometimes doesn't happen.
I think some kids are early morning people.

asking,
My boy 20mths old...exactly like your boy. He has been like this since he was 1 yo. Tried many tricks...none work! Oh well.
My reply doesn't answer your question but just like to share that how I am glad that I am not alone.
