What is the best way to get around in Hong Kong with Children. We have a one year old and a three year old. Is it safe to use taxi's with children (ie. do they have child seat restraits etc)?

you might want to invest in a joeysafe taxi harness for the children, taxis are plentiful and inexpensive compared to most other cities.

we only recently arrived in hongkong, 9 month old and 6 year old in tow, and asked these questions. short answer was no-one used seat belts in taxis. cradle your child in your arms. not something we really wanted to do but carrying a child seat in your arms and your child would be a real chore. the taxi harness sounds like an idea - how long would it take to hook up?

If you do a search for joeysafe on the moms&dads forum (drop down menu under ask an xpat) you will find lots of info.

Our baby is still too small, but we plan to use it in future unless something better comes along :)

Have a look at the moms and dads section of this site as there is a thread on this
