Anybody going to a mom and baby yoga class they can recommend? Bubs is still only tiny (5 weeks) but I'm feeling a little stir-crazy and would love to introduce my favourite excercise to my little boy.

I don't know any, but I was looking for one too. I asked Matilda but they only have postnatal yoga for moms. I would like to do things with my bub instead of doing things on my own, so baby yoga would be a perfect activity for us. Please recommend one??? Also, any suggestions as to activities you can do or take babies to would be great. I love painting and handy craft, and I would like to start going out soon, but are any of those classes ok to bring in babies??? I am thinking of quitting my job, so I need some contact with outside world.

I have heard that Yoga Limbs has a mom and baby yoga class: http://www.yogalimbs.com/baby___mom_yoga

However, I don't know anybone who has been, or if it is any good. If anybody has tried this out please let me know whether it is worth doing.

I was just looking at the new Just Juniors website and noticed they have a baby class with yoga, have some classes for older children as well.

Mine are too old now, I miss those mom and bub classes!

I went to the Yoga Limbs class. It was great fun. You can take your kid until walking...then it gets too dangerous, depending on the child because he/she might rough up a younger infant. It's more Mommy doing yoga over the baby, next to the baby, and sometimes using baby as a weight. There's muffins and a chat after each class. Very nice social activity.

Thanks for all your replies! I think I will deft. check out the Yoga Limbs class -- sounds like exactly what I am looking for right now whilst bubs is mostly sleeping his days away. Thanks for the review exeter! What was the actual yoga like? I am prepared for this to be overshadowed by the social aspect of the class, but it would be a bonus if the yoga was good too.

I had a look at the yogalimbs website and it seems they don't have any mum&baby yoga classes scheduled at the moment. Hope someone can correct me if I'm wrong (maybe because Wanda is busy setting up their new Clearwaterbay studio). Went there with my first baby and they were fun and sociable, but found the concept not always very successful - baby needing attention often prevented me from doing much yoga myself.

BTW the Annerley Midwives baby classes are run by Natasha Clausen. They run every Weds, Fri & Sat mornings, and also do (separate) prenatal and postnatal too.
