There is a book called Hong Kong for Kids writen by Cindy Miller Stephens you can pick it up at any of the book stores around. It sectors out where to go, what to do and how to get there etc. It was helpful for me when I first got here with my chidren whom are 2 and 4.

It all depends on what you entertainment pleasure is.

You got the YWCA in Central that offers classes for little ones. Hong Kong Park and Hong Kong Botanical Garden is good to stroll through with little ones...You've got the beach. Ocean Park etc. Lots of stroller friend hiking trails...

What do you like to do or looking to do? Pick up the book it helps.

Good Luck

Baby massage, KinderMusik, Baby Yoga, Basket Babes and Gym for Tots at the English-speaking dept of the YWCA - good place to meet other newbies and new mums.

The Rumpus Rooms - a mother and baby toddler play centre. A place for babies to play and mums to meet.

And a Mother & Baby Group at the Matilda Hospital - starts again in a couple of weeks.

I found that by just sitting in Pacific Coffee, you meet other mothers with similar aged children playing with the toys.

There's an informal mother and baby group at St. Stephen's College in Stanley. Try the Playgroup's forum - noticed a new group being put together in Repulse Bay. There's a more structured playgroup at Tutor Time in Redhill (Mandarin/English) from 9 months.

Babies love the acquarium at Ocean Park. As Cara said, the pass is a steal (and under 3's are free)! A bit young for Disney for a while.

Once you fit things in between your baby's naps, there is no reason why you cannot go shopping (real shopping) etc. My daughter seemed to love it (and the attention she got). I often got her to sleep in the buggy while I was doing my own shopping (no need to amuse her while trying on clothes etc.).

Once you've caught up with some other Mum's at playgroups, you'll have plenty of 'playdates' - so much so that your diary will be full to bursting. If you are a member of a club (or have a friend who is), the playrooms are great for meeting other parents.

Good luck with it!
