Anyonr returned to HK from UK in last week?
Have the restrictions on hand luggage been lifted on flights exiting London? travelling with a toddler and just want to be prepared!

They have been relaxed, but they aren't what they used to be before the recent incident. Check this:

Popsicle, I flew 8 days ago, but did not fly with BA; the only issue I had was in taking milk onboard. You will have no problem with the standard naooy kit and a couple of toys. They are fairly strict on having smallish bags (laptop/changing bag or small backpack size). I managed to convince them that I could take 3 such bags, one for me and one for each child. Check-in took a lot longer thna usual (which I cannot understand) and security took over an hour (which I could understand). There was no priority boarding for people with children or Business Class passengers either.

My toddler was booked into a seat , not sure if that made a difference, doubt it though. I found the airline and security staff very helpful re. the children, so presume that they will allow a bag for yours. Enjoy the flight (insofar as you can with a toddler in-tow)!
