We are trying to get some feedback on a campaign - let us know if this offer is attractive - and if it is not why not.
Hong Kong Disneyland:
If you stay at either of the park's hotels, guests are entitled to purchase park tickets which allow them to enter the park second time (i.e. Buy one night at the hotel and one park ticket and get a park ticket free for the second day).
Appreciate your feedback on this.

You can experience the entire park in about half a day so why stay overnight and pay for a hotel room?

Ed,
What is to stop the guest selling the tickets rather than visiting again? What if a family stay do they all get free tickets?
Personally I'd like some mid-week family park entrance deal ie a fixed price for up to 2 adults and 4 kids in a group; they'd make the money on food, hats etc.

Ed, have always stayed in Disney hotels when visiting other Disney parks (Paris & Orlando), but not even vaguely tempted by this one. Park is 40 minutes' drive away from us. Tend to visit for about 4 hours at a time, and the children have usually done everything that they fancy in that time period (and I have had enough of people pushing past us in the queue!). There is therefore no attraction in staying overnight (with the hassle of packing bags etc.) at any price.

When we have visited other Disney parks, we have always stayed in a Disney hotel. Usually for a number of nights. The differences are that the other parks are larger and we lived further away.
We live about 40 minutes away from HK Disneyland, and the children have done virtually everything that they want after 3 or 4 hours (and I have had enough of other people's queue jumping by then!), so an overnight stay is unattractive at any price. Cannot face packing a bag etc. Check in takes 15 minutes or so, and can be in our own beds in 40.

Not sure what this thread is for, they already offered this for a few months. Haven't attracted much locals, b/c like others said, there isn't enough to do in Disneyland HK to go two days.
I think by offering locals who stay in the hotel discount to go into the park, or a the lunch/breakfast with disney characters would be attractive. Or something special for the kids who stay in the hotel, I would bring my two kids there to stay. At this moment, it is NOT motivating at all to book aroom for $ 2000 HKD a night, and they give you 1 more day of admission for the park. I paid for the first day right?
Also, during the last 3 months, if you have HKID you already get a second time free, we never went back a second time.

Ed, I would certainly take up that offer. We have visited Disney twice and we have still not been on all the rides. Yes it is small, however my children wanted to go on certain rides over and over, so we still have to go back again to do so. In regards to the Summer Pass if you had a HKID card you could purchase one and it is unlimited access not just twice which is a good deal. Have to agree with you Green the queue jumping was shocking from the guests from the mainland, but nothing new there, and I objected to them smoking every where when there are so many children around. I do think Disney staff need to do more to prevent this type of behaviour. Over all I thought the park was very nice and so much more pleasant than described in the press - ps. they could do with a few more characters walking around - I know it's hot but that is who the kiddies go to see and get autographs from - we have see only two and that is after two visits.
