Has anyone been to Kim Robinson recently? I have moved to HK from Australia and am still looking for someone that can cut and colour blonde hair well. I have tried a couple of other recommended hairdressers but have never walked out fully satisfied.
If anybody has feedback on Kim's colouring and cutting of western hair, and some indication of price, I would be really grateful.

Kim Robinson is so expensive! You may not be able to book even if you have the money and are willing to pay as he only serves "celebrity clients".

Try Douglas Lillico at Philip George, certainly knows his stuff and some, plus is a very easygoing, personnable chap and not too expensive (i think).

Kim is excellent. But he is as good as he is expensive. HKD4000-6000 for consultation, hair cut, and styling. I only had it done once at his salon with a raffle ticket I had won and never went back. But if money is no object, he would my choice for a hair stylist.

Kim is super expensive and he has created a great nich clientelle. I believe he only cuts and styles and has a local technitian do the coloring. You cant expect to walk our for less than 5K for color and a cut. Kims cutting is pretty good but not really better than many of the top stylists in HK. The one thing he does beautifully is finishing. His styling and finishing is really beautiful and this is where is real strength is, appart from his charismatic charm.

Being an australian and a blonde to boot, I used to go to Kim when he owned Le Salon Orient many moons ago and spent a fortune every 5 weeks. I now go to Paul Gerrard in Pottinger Street. I highly recommend Robin and Paul, they truly understand blondes. All the best and I hope you enjoy HK.
