ok hair extensions are great and I will give you a couple of options here. First you need to determine what u want, highlights, thicker hair, thicker longer hair or something else. This will determin how many extensions you need to have and of course the more you have the hight the cost. There are also different qualities of hair used for extensions, if you want to go cheap then the quality of the hair will not be as good. The good quality hair is not cheap so if you want it you have to be prepared to pay for it, its that simple. Then there is the time it takes to put them in by the stylist.

If you want wavy extensions they will usually have to either be permed to match your hair or specially ordered as most places do not carry stock of this kind.

The Haridressers 29730512(where i work) does extensions. We have a couple of stylists there who can do them so you could go in for a consultation.

There is another salon in Causeway Bay to called Fudge 28811664, they also do quite a few extensions so you could have a consultaion there to.

Alternatively y7ou could go accross to China and have them done real cheap but the hair quality is pretty bad.

snadi, it can be done of fine hair for sure. It really depends how short your hair is as you still need it to blend in and you need enough length to be able to cover the joining points of the extensions. Feel free to come by and we can take a look for you to let you know if you have enough length.

D-Man,

What kind of method do you use at your salon for hair extensions?

Pixar, we use a could of different options. Either the Keritin glue or with a hoop ring that is just a small ring which the hair slides through and is then closed tight over the hair.

Had extensions twice myself. Once with Andre Norman in HK late '80s and the other with Antennae, London. The latter lasted longer, monofibre, full head and they gave full instructions on maintaining it, which can be a handful! D-Man, do you offer wavy and or curly extensions?

elvira, we dont carry stock of wavy or curly extensions as they are not popular. We could order them if they supplier has stock but thier is usually a minimum order.

The clip ons are a good short term option but they do have a large base area that needs to be hidden. the base area is usually an inch or so in width so you need to have enough hair or long enough hair to comer it.

D-Man (and anyone else if you can help!),

if the purpose of the hair extensions is just for a one-off ball or formal dinner dance then would clip-ons suffice?

alternatively, how much (approx.) would it be for proper hair extensions for this same purpose... because i assume that it wouldn't require a full head of extensions?

(I would want my hair sufficiently long enough that it can be 'put up')

thank you!
