Zurich airport

Travelling through Zurich airport with a 1 hour gap between flights arriving and departing (transit), is this possible? Are there more lengthy searches due to the recent terrorist scare?

There are two terminals using a train to connect. Depends if you need to take it or not. Double check which terminals your flights arrive and depart from A or B. Ask your travel agent. I think it is standard that there is 1hr30mins betwwen flights but i am not sure.


Even with the train, it could be workable esp if you are on an early morning flight into ZRH. If your ticket was bought with the connecting flight then it means the airlines/airport reckon it is fine. If you bought both tickets separately, then it is up to you to take the risk. Should you miss it then it would be you being responsible to get on the next flight/buy new ticket if need be etc.


I would tell the first flight that you have a connection and they normally would be pretty helpful to get you off the plane as soon as possible even if in economy. If you are in economy I would suggest you reserve a seat near to the exit so you can up and out of there asap.


Be comfy/prepared to run. Between terminals there is another security check. To make things easier don't risk anything, be ready.take your jacket off, unpack your laptop etc
