It can be difficult for someone to give specific advice in a very non-specific situation. I've never had anything but extremely good service and advice from the ID - whether my enquiry has been by email, phone or over the counter. But I accept that others haven't always had the same experience. The actual requirements re supporting doicumentation is available on the ID website. Take what it says and do your best to provide whatever you can that you think should help your application. Better to provide too much and get it approved first time than to provide not enough (in their eyes) and risk delay. Good luck.
