i took a flight out of heathrow on tuesday night. it wasn't as complicated as it made out to be (but i think by now, they have relaxed the restrictions slightly) - just be prepared to taste the food stuff that you have packed for baby. my hubby tasted a random sample of milk powder and sterilised water in the bottles and hot flask. so this won't affect bf mums.
just wanted to share my experience for those who are worried about upcoming travels to uk. but i would say pack light for the hand luggage if you can, they really empty your bags for checking the minute they see anything remotely liquid.

What about baby medicine - did you have panadol or similar with you? Did they make you taste it?

i had dentinox teething gel with me but because it was prescribed by the pd, it actually had bub's name on it. i think medication is ok provided the name of the passenger is on it. i was given a travel pack of medication by my pd before i left so it had my bub's name on all of them.
now that you have mentioned it, the security didn't check that! i guess a crying baby helped - the customs officer was very eager to get rid of us and move on with the queue!
