We have a Watsons water dispenser with a hot water tap -does anyone know where I can get a safety catch to stop little fingers grabbing it and burning themselves?

thanks

Mothercare has some locks which could be adapted, such as the drawer lock. Instead of catching the drawer it catches the top of tap. There is also a cabinet/toilet lock which could be passed through the hole in the tap.

There is something about water that little ones find irresistible. So perhaps you might want to put one on the cold tap too because floods are fun! And the toilet too.

There is a switch on the back of our bonaqua dispenser which turns off the heating so you just get room temperature water - is there one on yours?. I switched it off to prevent any accidents. A few months later my 4yr old got burnt by the water from someone else's. The water is really hot and he had to be treated at the adventist, all the skin on his hand blistered and there was a risk of infection. Fortunately it's all fine now but unless you really need to use the hot function I'd disable it.

thanks again - there is a little compartment on the side which has an on/off switch in it.
