frozen wine - ok to drink?

forgot to take a bottle out of the freezer and it is frozen solid - white wine...it is ok to defroat and drink - will it effect it in any way?!

It should be fine. After defrosting, give the bottle a good shaking (you may need to remove the cork first) as the tartrates and other sediments can "separate". Although saying said that, the tartrates and other sediments may make 'feel' too gritty. Whatever you do, don't re-freeze it. And don't use the freezer for long-term storage.


It's a way to save leftover wine too.
