I just discovered I have a four-day weekend this week. What's to do? It's too late to book anything!

We were in Macua 2 weeks ago for the fireworks and it was nice. we were with 2 small kids so no nightlife/casinos for us, but we enjoyed walking around all the sights and some shopping.

Does anyone have any reccomendations as to what to do on national day? It also happens to be my birthday. Some of my freinds have mentioned going to Wan Chai or TST promenade for the fireworks, but locals have told me it will be stupidly busy! - Help!

You can take them to Kowloon Park, there is a nice Lantern display but more interestingly there is "Refufee Camp int he City "Exhibition by Medicins sans Frontieres . Today I took my kids and they learned a lot about it. Really worth it.
