GOLD COAST

Where exactly is Gold Coast in Hong Kong? Can anyone recommend going there for a long weekend?

I found a "weekend getaway" package on their web site and had a very nice stay at Gold Coast. Very relaxing -- nice breakfast buffet was included, restaurants were superb with wonderful looking seafood buffet on weekend nights ($$$) but we strolled over to restaurant on moonlit beach. The hotel has a spa with hot tubs / sauna, adult pool as well as kiddie pool with two size water slides, playground area, kids rec room with snookers etc. There is a beach with lifeguards across a street from the hotel. The hotel is located up in New Territory across channel from north side of Lantau Island. You can see planes and ships at all hours of day and night. It was quite pleasant.
