Anyone know where I can buy them? Tried a Chinese grocer in Happy Valley (with Cantonese speaking friend) but no luck.

The last time I bought them (a while ago now) was in my local Park+Shop Superstore. They were in a little booth where they had various local ingredients for making herbal soups, tonics etc, mostly various dried ingredients but some spices.

In Sheungwan, past all the little shops that sell the chinese communist posters and buttons that celebrate mao is this "spice" and herbs shop. Huge bags filled with a ton of different spices. (cannot guarantee their freshness though - they do a brisk trade however.)
