HK credit report? past-due management fees ...

Is there such a thing? How would one go about obtaining a copy of one's credit report (or the local equivalent)? Who should we call or visit?

As to why I'm asking ... my HK-born wife bought an apartment with her ex-fiance several years ago. When they split, he didn't want to sell the apartment b/c the price had slumped, but he signed an agreement obligating him to keep making the mortgage payments, pay all costs related to upkeep and any eventual sale, etc.

He popped up recently, has found a buyer, and wants to sell. My wife is still part owner, so she has to sign off on the sale.

Our lawyer did some sort of land clearance check as part of due diligence on the sale and found that, because my wife's ex had elected to stop paying the management fees nearly a year ago, the management co. had placed a "hold" on the deed. He acknowledged the hold and will pay the back management fees and the fee to have the hold removed before the sale, but ....

In the USA, I'm positive that something like this would leave a pretty serious black mark on my wife's credit. Neither my wife nor her lawyer seem to know whether HK has anything like a credit report or whether something like unpaid bldg mgmt fees would show up on one if it existed.

Does anyone here know?

Thanks!

Try the above site. They do personal credit reports in Hong Kong.
