Ideas Needed

We will soon launch a utube on AsiaXPAT that allows you to upload your videos and submit them to us for publishing on our sites.


I have come up with a number of applications for this including:


Beautiful Babies: we are launching a section that allows proud parents to submit their baby's pic and biodata. We will also ad an option to submit video of their baby. Idea is to share their happiness with others in our community.


Travel: submit your travel videos for publishing on our travel site. We'd have a section that allows you to write a bit of a blog related to the video.


Event Pics: we already do still photos - will buy a video camera and get some live stuff going forward. Now everyone can be a movie star heheh


Amusing Stuff: ask people to submit funny videos they have made.



Feel free to make suggestions for other applications of this technology.






MORE NEW STUFF: AsiaXPAT/EKONG VOIP is almost ready...



Also we will soon start to run news feeds onto the sites - we will prelaunch on our Bangkok site by next week then once fine tuned add to others... essentially we have subscribed a software that allows us to filter news stories by topic (eg Bangok or Thailand in the header) from global media - then we feed the best of the filtered stories to the city site... the cool thing is that you can read about whats being said about your city from the perspective of media around the world....

Ah just came up with the killer app for this...


We can add this to our property site so that owners/agents who want to take vids of their properties can then easily upload them to their ads... that would add huge value eh...

Oh yes good one... video of peoples pets is very cool...


Our guys are working on the interface now - and we're contacting a number of service providers in the US to see what the most advanced software solution would be.

Property, cars, boats, all classifieds should have this option.

As with the posts, will the videos also go through a censoring process? Don't want to end up seeing cheesy and xx videos
