What is the fastest way of going from central to HKUST in Sai Kung?

From Central the quickest way is via hang hau mtr then the minibus, minibus is only about 5-10 minutes.
I live in cwb and use hang hau to get to work in the mornings and the queue for the minibus is pretty long at 830 so if you need to be there in the morning factor in an extra 10-15 minutes for the queue, other times there doesn't seem to be a queue
