Unfortuneatly some water was spilt onto the fan and after a little cloud of smoke it stopped working.Is it worth repairing it or should a buy a new one?

Sorry I can't suggest anyone who does repairs so not sure how much it'd cost. Apart from having to take it in and collect it, you'll also be without it for however long it takes to fix. I recently bought a new one (16" 'Windy' brand) from Wing Wah Mechanical Co shop, 55 Hung To Road, Kwun Tong) for a bargain $376, so I reckon it's probably as cheap and certainly less hassle to get a new one.
