Looking for a kid friendly (ages 2 and 4) beach resort for a weeks' break from HK. Somewhere that has a direct flight. any ideas apart from thailand??

Either of the Shangri-La Resorts in Kota Kinabalu, direct flights with Dragon Air/Air Malaysia (and perhaps others). Our 4-year old loved the Rasa Ria (as did our 7-year old), orang-utans, kids club, pools, beach and all. Also heard good things about Nexus in KK, from friends with children of similar age to yours.
