I went checked few facials salon (MTM, Physical, Sasa beauty), the more I visit the more, I get confused! All these places offer all kind of different beauty packages, uses unknown housebrand skincare, and not all salon, employed qualified beautician. All this to say, Can you recommend me to your facials salon/spa? How much should i invest- without it being a rip-off? and How often do you go?
Will appreciate any advice. Many Many thanks!

I go to Frederiques which is very nice but also expensive. What you must do is be strong and just ask for 'a facial' and say you are not willing to take any packages or be bullied into buying any products. I'm sure the staff must get commission on product sales/package sales as its always another product they want you to buy!! I've learned to say 'no' and stick by your word and dont let them force you into buying extras. Often they recommend products that are in fact not suitable and different girls will offer different products. Its often the case they have not very much knowledge about the product they are selling you. Take the name and check it out on internet or official site and then if you think its right, buy next time. If not happy with your facial, complain and either get some else or a refund. It always works. Be strong!

Sense of Touch in Hollywood Road or across from the Centrium building are really good and they use dermalogica, murad and elemis. Frederqiques are also fantastic, but I just got sick of having to say "no" all the time, nothing worse then coming out of a relaxing facial and then be bombarded with "you need this, you need that".Argghh.Plus, the reception staff are snooty and not friendly. Sense of Touch is a little more laid back and much friendlier and more reasonably priced.

I am about to book a facial at sense of touch - which of the central locations is the best, in terms of being bigger or more luxurious? or are they the same?
Thanks!

I went to Essential Spa on Caine Road and Old Bailey. They have a wide variety of facials to select from. I just went today and after cleaning my face, the beautician examined my skin and recommended a facial accordingly. Although it was pretty good, I thought it was a little pricey. The service was really good though. It seems to be a common theme, but at the end they tried to sell me different packages.

I go to Spa Sensations (right above California fitness, Wellington Street). Very relaxing and they use brands like Elemis, LT, Yonka (my favourite)etc. Good place to try out. Don't forget to ask for a 15% privilege card, last for a year. You can ask for Venus, her hands are so soft and you'll be feeling so pampered.
