If I have a cat with FIV, are there any restrictions on moving them to the UK or NZ?

For NZ - check the MAF website or biosecurity website http://www.biosecurity.govt.nz/imports/animals/standards/domaniic.spe.htm (seems to be a bit on both websites) for bringing pets into NZ. There was a vet contact from MAF that we spoke to when we brought our cat from NZ and he was very helpful. Not sure about implications of FIV in particular but the requirements for importing cats is not that onerous in NZ. Unless it has changed since we left, it used to be only a month in a MAF approved cattery (there are only 5 in NZ I think so more difficult if outside a major city) and you can still visit them. http://www.maf.govt.nz/quarantine/travellers/what-to-declare/registered-quarantine-facilities.htm

We used Donquest to transport our cat from NZ http://donquest.co.nz/transport.htm. They were helpful enough and should be able to arrange a trip back to NZ.
