Shoe Biz Appeal

My daughter has found this weblink www.shoebizappeal.org.uk/index.aspx.


It's been set up in the UK by Blue Peter (an old UK kids program) and it's all about donating old shoes for orphans in Malawi. In brief, 6 pairs equals a memory book of their lost family, 69 pairs equals a first aid kit....


What i would love to do is set up collection points around HK with the help of schools, and have someone collevt the shoes and take them some place else for shipping to the UK.


We all have shoes lying around and tend to just bin the, so why not try and help people less fortunate than us, it's so so easy.


Thoughts, suggestions and help gratefully received as it would just be great if this could get off the ground.

That's a great idea!! A lot of kids' shoes are still in so good conditions but just don't fit the growing kids anymore!!!!


There are so many playgroups and kids' activities programs in town, if they all help to spread the words and be part of the collection points, it should work quite well.
