Christmas Traditions II

santa claus used to come to our house on christmas eve. he would come in and have a hot cup of coffee and some cookies. he would take some carrots for the reindeer that were on the rooftop! waiting for him. he would tell us that we needed to get to sleep so he could come and deliver the other presents that we had put on our list. he always had one gift for my brother and i to open that night.


as i grew up, my parents explained that santa got to busy to do those housecalls. but they would never admit that santa was not real.


it was only after the birth of my daughter, that they told me it was mr. gornick who dressed up all of those years and did those housecalls.


i didnt have a mr. gornick to give to my children, but we still leave a cup of hot coffee with cookies and carrots out. my kids are 13 and 16, and they still humor me...

we are starting a new christmas tradition tonight by taking my 4 year old to see a pantomine. Should be good.
