Hello,
I want to buy a car, so I have checked the adds in asiaxpat.
But do you know what is MOT, gov test and licence (not driving licence)?

MOT is a gvt test for cars older than 6 years (will be done every year before getting your road tax (licence)
Licence is payable once a year to the GVT. Fees depends on the power of the car (if less than 3000 cc, it will cost you HK$ 5,800 or so).
Gov Test: no idea. believe it is related to MOT
Do not forget to check insurance as this is the most important thing before purchasing a car. Should you have an idea, call your broker and give him the year, make so he can give you a quote. Got a friend who bought a Mercedes without checking and end up with a 17,000 $ insurance !!!
