I am an Indian National having lived in Hong Kong for the last fourteen years and my wife has been with me for the last Six year and hold an unconditional stay Visa. We have a cute four years old daughter, she was born in Hong Kong and at present schooling in Hong Kong.
I am interested in applying for a Hong Kong S.A.R passport for my family and myself. Honestly speaking neither me nor my wife speak or understand Cantonese.
What is the possibility that I will get a Hong Kong S.A.R passport for my family as I have made Hong Kong my home and don't want to leave Hong in the near future.

As I understand, Hong Kong S.A.R passport is given to China nationals only. It is the understanding of the international community that passport can only be issued to a citizen. A country or region may issue other travel documents to non-citizens.

As douglaskoh say, the passport is given to Chinese nationals only - although there is an exception.
Non-Chinese citizens who want to obtain an HKSAR passport may be able to get one if they become Chinese Nationals. This means you have to abide by China's Constitution and laws and meet one of the following conditions:
(a) you are near relatives of Chinese nationals;
(b) you have settled in China; or
(c) have other legitimate reasons.
NB: If you apply for naturalisation as a Chinese national, you cannot not retain any foreign nationality.

Thanks Claire for the advise but do you think i have chance in getting an Hong Kong SAR passport

I personally only know of two cases where an HKSAR passport was given to a non-Chinese, so then it is possible, if a slim chance. You really have to decide first whether it is worth more than you are giving up.

In this two cases, do they have to give up their nationality and take up Chinese nationality?

Yes, they did. But it must be understood that it is China which decides whether to give a person Chinese nationality. Only then can the HKSAR issue a passport.

According to this it's certainly possible:
