I have bought an ipod as a Christmas gift and I want to load it with songs. Can I create a separate playlist from my own so they don't get all my songs and vice versa?? I'm a technophobe so I need pretty simple instructionsm please!

(I'm planning on buying the songs for them off itunes Aust where I have an existing account)

You can set up iTunes so that it doesn't update automatically when you plug in the iPod. Then you can create a playlist of only the songs that you want to be on the new iPod and drag that across.

How do you stop the ipod from upgrading automatically?? Or where do I find those instructions. Thanks for your help.
