Ok, have visited post office and stationery shops in search of sturdy large post bag to send chrissy pressies o/s. Where on earth can I buy them? Surely the large PO in central sells them.... if they definitely do, I will make the trip??

Yup! the Central Post Office has a small stationery store on the ground level on the right side that sells wrappers and boxes.

Depending on where you are it might not be necessary to go all the way in to Central. If you are on Kowloon side both the TST and Granville Rd POs have the complete range of padded bags, envelopes & boxes for sale. Check the HKP website for full details of services available etc.
