Hi, could anyone tell me where I could sell my babies clothes. She has just turned one. I was planning to take out the whole lot for $100. Thanks!

The classifieds on this site are probably your best bet. And for that price I am sure you will have some takers.
One bit of advise, clear descriptions and photos really help.

It hardly seems worth the hassle for the sake of HK$100. Why not get into the spirit of Christmas and give them to Mother's Choice, the Sally Army or a similar charitable organization?

Ed, I hope its ok to post this here. I received this via email.
Aquagul, maybe you would consider contacting the lady below?

I am on the scrounge for stuff .....
I am off to Cape Town for Christmas. A friend that is running the charity "Bosom Buddies" in South Africa is looking for babygros.
I am off to Stanley (once the rain lets up in the next couple of days) and thought no harm in asking if anyone has or knows anyone or would donate some $.
I can totally understand if this is not the charity for you. There are so many out there and one cannot support them all. I love South Africa and so feel connected and therefore this is one of the charities I do support.
If you have any good condition 0-3month simple basic babygros to donate. Or will buy one from the lanes or give me a couple $. Please do so!
Does anyone have those Snappi nappy fasteners (does anyone use terry nappies in HK?) do let me know.
I leave on the 4th December.
If you need any more information have a read below from Mel's website/charity Bosom Buddies. Just so you know that I am not pursung a career as a hawker.

"At present I am providing 30 gorgeous diaper bags per week which we sew. "I am employing an awesome South African woman who I pay 1 day a week to sew and she works the other day for nothing. (she lives in the township so this is major!)
In each bag we put a blanket which we also sew, a vest (think u guys call it a T-shirt?), babygro, little cardigan, woolly hat, socks, a baby product, sanitary pads for mom and a packet of home baked cookies like crunchies or shortbread. We attach a card to the bag and twice a week we go down to my local state hospital and spend time with each mom praying for her and her baby and just creating some excitement when we gift them the gift.
Unfortunately every time I go we have a stillborn baby or a woman in labor with a stillborn. Can you imagine?! We now make sure we have a bag for her with nothing baby on it. We pack it with pads, shampoo, toothbrush and paste, soap & facecloth and cookies for the mom with a sympathy card. She shares a ward with the mothers with their newborns and my heart breaks for her. I can only hold her a while and pray for her. It's hard.
The hospital is high risk so we have plenty multiples and tiny little preemies. The preemie moms live in a tiny room and kanga care their babes until they are big enough to go home. They sleep on sleeper couches at night. Because they are not patients, they only get 1 meal a day. I have now provided a kettle & cups and keep a constant supply of tea and coffee, instant soup and bread. I have also organized them washing powder and a bucket to wash their clothing. I am trying to get them a microwave sponsored as well as a radio/CD player. There is so much I would like to still do for them as well as for the nurses but I am on my way.
The nurses don't have a tearoom so they go sit in the loo when they need to cry and stamp their feet and just take time out. It's big enough to put a chair and table in so that's the next step along with painting it out and curtains.
Bosom Buddies has only been going since Feb so we have made great progress already! By next year I am hoping to do every mom which is about 220 a month. Sourcing the clothing is major and the mothers in my area have been rather disappointing. I thought I would get tons of second hand clothing but so far it's been slow.
BUT... I am trusting God for provision as he has been so faithful so far!! Once I have everything down pat I intend to go to other areas to sell the idea so woman in those communities can take care of their own state hospital.

Something strange happened. Thought I will share it with you all. I was taking all the clothes to MCH to donate, since it is near for me. The nurse refused but contacted the social service department. After speaking to them she told me to make sure the used ones and the new ones were in seperate bags so that they could easily process the used ones before donating.
As I was heading for the place she told me, there were 2 things that were bothering me. Firstly the nurse's laugh over the phone while talking to S.S. and secondly the distribution of the clothes.
Strange but for the first time I saw a women going through the trash can in our area. Something came over me. I didnot go to the S.S. I handed the bags right over to her.
I am sharing this here cause this event reminded me of something my mom said to me when I left for Hong Kong 3 years ago as a newly wed. She said that everyone gets what they deserve. Don't fight for more. You may get it but you will loose it in some other form. After all by fighting you just proved how weeker your spirit is.
