Thanks onemorething,
Just called Jebsen's (pentax reps here) and it is already in stores, he suggested Mong Kok and Photo Scientific. Fortress etc doesn't have them yet. You are correct regarding the lens.

I want to Stanley Street yesterday and had a look at the body. Great camera! They looked at me very strangely when I asked for the bundled kit. One shop (PSci) had sold out. The other had the body I was quoted $7630. I will call the guy at Jebsens again to get a date etc. Are you getting a second lens?

Well since I've just bought one, and have always been a Minolta fan, as you'll see on my other post originally on the tech talk forum, I'll recommend the Sony Alpha A100! 2-lens kit (18-70mm f3.5-5.6 AND 75-300mm f4.5-5.6) is only HK$7390 at Broadway. That looks way cheaper than the Pentax body only at $7630.
The only negative comments I've seen about the Sony is that ISO 800 and ISO 1600 images are noisier than competitors.
Like Pentax, the Sony has Image Stabilization built into the body/sensor, so unlike Canon, all of your lenses will automatically be anti-shake. Sony says this can add 3.5 f-stops to your handheld photos, and every reviewer I've seen has said that in real life conditions you can clearly get 2 f-stops faster.
If that doesn't excite you, then maybe you're not geeky enough... lol.

Onemorething, called Jebsens - Kowloon City Plaza shop 7 LG (27188797) have the bundled version. I have asked them to hold one for me. I said that they may have somebody else call up looking for one and they were going to see if they had another in their other branch for you. I am not sure which other lens I will get, will look into it more.
Graveyard pimp, my first foray too into DSLR. Have been so happy with my 35mm Canon EOS (Have had it for 12 years). I used a friends 6meg pixel pentax DSLR and was impressed with the photos but once I looked into it more I decided I wanted 10. Have spent the last month reading up on what is available and decided (on paper and having a look at the released cameras) that the Pentax was the way to go (comparing Nkon, Canon and Sony)and I was willing to wait until its release to have a look at it in the "flesh" before making a final decision. Have a look at www.dpreview.com to do side by side comparisons between them all. They also have some interesting reviews, sample pictures from the cameras and forums.
I looked at the Sony and the only reason I decided against it was that the body is not metal. I also wanted something with excellent sealing as dust is an issue with DSLR's apparently.
