My husband's no 1 in his sales team is getting married and we have been invited to the wedding. Its starts with a c*cktail party at noon at one venue then move to another venue for another c*cktail reception followed by dinner which is black tie. The couple are chinese and husband and I are western. Is it Ok that I wear the same dress all day - I've never been to a chinese wedding before and dont want to get it wrong.

attend the c*cktail party at noon, disappear,rest and glam up for the evening.
YOu can actually not turn up for the c*cktail, and just turn up for evening. The noon thing is more a real close family, friends thing for endless endless endless endless picture taking, so you will say hello, have your photo taken, and you will be invisible cos everyone is interested in taking thousands of family photos.
Turn up for the evening only, but turn up earlier to make up for it.
