Does anyone know where I can get inexpensive but tasteful decorations? I have a young son, so dont want to risk buying anything breakable or expensive.

Got most of mine at Wanchai Market..the street has a few stores (aka toy stores) full of decoarations and few stalls has some pretty nice docorations all at a reasonable price. Not sure how their stock is now but it's worth a look if you are close by.

Ikea has quite a good variety of decorations including soft ones.

Go to Shenzhen, take the subway at the border and get off at Dongmen. Tons of selections there...including big large santa dolls....
