Thanks. The problem is I am allergic to any dog except a poodle and I'm told they aren't available from the SPCA. I didn't realize there was THAT much of a risk. THank you. Maybe I will be more cautious.

Totally agree with above... you just can't be sure what you are getting and if they are healthy... in addition, you will be paying a very high price!
While the SPCA and HKDR don't have any poodles now, they might in the future. It all depends on what gets 'abandoned', 'lost', 'found', 'given' ...
So you could talk to both of them and see if they can put you on a list? (not sure if they do this?)
