I am going to have my eye check up for Lasik on 23/12 and maybe after 1 or 2 weeks for Lasik. I am planning to go scuba diving during chinese new year. Does anyone know how long to recover from Lasik for diving? Otherwise I might postpone Lasik cos I am dying to go dive outside HK and take some nice underwater pictures.

I've seen a variety of opinions on when you can go diving after Lasik, everything from 2 weeks to 6 months. Personally I would be inclined to be conservative. My husband had Lasik and his doctor told him not to swim for a month. Generally your eyes are fully healed after 3 months. Although your eyes don't get wet when diving (unless your mask comes off or leaks), the pressure changes inside your mask won't be too good for healing eyes.
