Mothers request

My mother 'needs' a decent watch! Where can I get a good watch at a good price. Blinded by too much choice and too many jewellers!

I know what you mean, but it's difficult to suggest something as I'm not sure what you would define as decent and good. Many might regard a Swatch as decent and at a good price, whereas there are those who'd turn their nose up at anything below a Patek Phillipe. Personally, I like my classic dainty little 18k gold Longines with leather strap and thought it was reasonable (I think it was c. HKD5-6000 from Sogo, or maybe it was Mitsukoshi) but perhaps your mother might prefer chunkier Rolex-type styles. You know her taste and your budget better than we do. I remember trawling around loads of shops and all the jewellers were selling the watch for exactly the same fixed price everywhere - none was offering a good deal apart from the two department stores, which had sales on at the time.
