My 10 week old baby is using 2.5 tog at night time, but his head, face and hands are freezing cold when i woke up because of his cry (not a hunger cry), he must be feeling cold.

Do you use heater on top of this 2.5 tog?

Can i put hat on baby while sleeping?

Thanks.

don't think hats are recommended when babies are sleeping.

A heater with a timer that you can set to go on at 4am ish when it gets really cold is great, stops that 5 am wakeup!

Although I haven't seen heaters like that here. I just use one with a low setting all night.

I always swaddled still at that age? I guess you don't do swaddling with grobags then?

I swaddled until 5.5 months, then baby could roll over both ways and we stopped.

Now that he is just in pajamas (one piece jumpsuit with feet), we leave the heater on to about 20-21 degrees.

Sure it is a bit dry, but we figure better dry and warm than too cold! We joke that he has the most comfortable room as our bedroom is freezeing these nights :)

to help fight the dryness, dry your laundry in the room. I know it sounds crazy but drying your towels or heavier damper pieces can combat the dryness. And you get to save some dryer electricity. I do it quite a bit - sure the towels are a bit crunchy, but at least there is some humidity in the room.

putting a bowl of water in the room supposedly helps with humidity in the room too.
