thinking of joining my hubby in beijing for a cople of days late Jan but I have heard it can get very,very foggy. I can cope with cold and crisp conditions but I do want to see the great wall. Has anyone travelled to Beijing in Winter and what was the visibility like?

I was in Beijing in mid-Jan 2005 and found it an excellent time to visit, especially the visibility at the Great Wall. I was on the Jinshanling-Simatai section.
