Hi, anyone knows if we can bring baby milk powder in luggage when travelling to HK. We're relocating to HK next week, and i would like to bring 1-2 tins of baby's Enfapro milk powder over and then slowly change him to whatever that's available in HK. Btw, is Enfapro available there? How about Dumex?

THanks, cara, for quick reply. So what brands are there in HK? From what you described, i guess there's no need to declare it as foodstuff also?

You will not have problems bringing in the milk powder - it's only two tins and for personal use.

Enfapro is available in HK although it may vary slightly - costs about HK$150 for a 900g tin. Many other brands are available in HK including Abbott, Cow & Gate, Milupa, Nan H.A, S-26 & other Wyeth products.

Mead Johnson is the maker of Enfapro and has an office in Hong Kong, therefore Enfapro is probably available at certain locations. Mead Johnson was not open when I called but the number in Hong Kong is (852) 2510-6000.

Dumex has an office in Singapore and appears to distribute more to Malaysia. I am unaware of the brand in Hong Kong.

To the best of my knowledge there are no restrictions to transporting baby formula to Hong Kong in your luggage.

Hi, I regularly bring suitcases full of formula from the UK as both my babies have Hipp Organic which is 3 times more expensive here. Never had any problems bringing it in and I bought 24 boxes once with me once.

You can check www.parknshop.com to see what is available in the main supermarkets. There are other brands available in organic/health and baby shops.

thanks everyone, for all the useful information. really appreciate this help. Many people have told me that the milk powder will be more expensive in HK compared to Singapore. Will prob choose an easily accessible brand and endure a few days of erratic bowels for both kids.
