I am trying to get a made to measure protection cover that will go on my dining table under the tablecloth. The places that I have looked seem only to have fabrics rather than anything more substantial.

Any guidance as to where I might be able to get hold of such a cover would be appreciated.

Would thick felt suffice? I guess it also depends on the size of your table... I had a large-ish piece from a bolt in one of the fabric shops in the lanes in Central. If you're near there you could go in and have a chat to see if they can help.

I had a padded and quilted one made to protect my glass table. Works really well. I went to Choi Designs in Queens Road East.
