Why in earth
A friend of mine told me that
Why some one will tell to her 9 years old kid that his mother
do not love her? The little girl cried all night long Even if is a joke… I don’t thinks this is acceptable
please, I have a very hard time to understand people who
deliberately or non-thinking can say such a thing…
in the country I’m coming from we will never say something
like that unless of course you really want to hurt some one.
What will you do if some one says that to your kid?

You dont joke like that with kids. Their main fear is losing their parents love, and someone who does that is sadistically exploiting that vulnerability. Beast.

I know I totally agreed with you guys,
I have told my friend that normal people do not joke with kids feelings.
She said that the guy how said that excusing himself that in england people joke all the time
but I know for sure this is not right.

This guy is a jerk but the main thing is to reassure your child, talk about it (talk about what a jerk he was to say this), tell her how bad it was for him to say that, tell her you would never leave her / not love her, and then show it to be true. Not in England, not anywhere do people joke about this, okay maybe jackasses but nobody else. If he thinks this is a joke, he should limit his joking to other English people and see how they respond.

Yes, my frined has been very careful afte this insident and the whole family is making sure taht she just understand that sometimes people talk without thinking.
seems taht the girl is feeling better, but I'm sure will take a while to get back her confidence
