has anyone done this or is the cost not worth it? Air con is only a yr old and hardly used

We ended up leaving a 12 month old aircon in our previous apartment as the cost to remove and replace the glass was almost $1500. The quote was from Fortress - a handyman might be more reasonable.

Try to sell to landlord of next tenant - that is what we did for 2 and moved 1.

Very easy to do.
Remove the old one (is it a window type ?) by extracting the main unit (you might need to remove the filter and the cover and unscrew one screw.) (mind it is heavy at the end)
Once the main unit is out, you left with the frame. unscrew or the screws and cut the glue around it and it will come out.
With regards to the glass, you can make another one in any hardware shop I believe and fix it yourself.
Alternatively if the landlord do not mind, just put a carton on the window.
