Hi mums,
My baby had just turned 1 yrs old recently. Before she used to eat almost 3 full bowl of solids everyday (breakki, lunch.dinner) and 3 to 4 bottles per day.(150ml to 180ml)
But now 1 full bowl and 2 half bowl of solids(breakki,lunch,dinner)3 bottles per day.(180ml)
She refused to open her mouth after half bowl of
solids.I'm worried that she will lose weight if this carry on.Please give some advices.
Thank you

try not to worry too much.
A lot of babies suddenly stop eating as much at one year...mine did.
I'm curious - how much milk is she taking total? Is it 180 ml per bottle? 3X a day? That means 480 mls a day? 320-340 mls a day of milk/formula. More than that will put them off of their food.
if this is the case - and you are giving close to 500ml a day, try gradually reducing the amount in the bottle and start trying to give her more solids.
also - many child care experts advocate eliminated the bottle by the year and replacing with a sippy cup...if your baby is drinking more out of the bottle and refuses to give it up, changing to a sippy cup will probably help with this.
I t hink that by a year, a toddler should be closer to around

i read in one of my weaning books (can't remember which one) that after the phenomenal growth rate in the first year, things slow down after that and your kid might also stop eating as much.
at one year, the milk intake is not supposed to be to more than 350ml daily, inclusive what's used in cooking.
good luck! we are at 10 months and i'm sure we'll be facing similar issues when we hit one!

Hi hkchoichoi and wheelymate,
I guess my baby might have taken too much milk? Now she is taking 180ml 3 times per day which is = to 540 ml per day.
I would try to cut down on the milk intake and obsereve any increase in soild.
I gave her the 3rd bottle as i was worried she might be not eating well recently. But i would cut down on that.
Thanks for the advice :>

Hi hikaru -
try reducing the milk each feed by 40 mls - eventually her solids should pick up.
and Wheelymate is right - babies slow down in their eating and growth at a year - and it's normal. My daughter went from 97%ile down to 75% during her 12-24 months. But suddenly she shot up again back to the 97%ile after she turned two. It's not just the food. your baby will eat when she is hungry.
