I'm confused about this. Do you mean that your husband wants to send your son to boarding school in your husband's country of origin? Or is he sending him to live with relatives?
How old is your son?

Oh for the love of god, he's 13!
I think sending him away is a bit strong and as his mother you have a say in the matter too.
Personally, your son is doing what every other 13 year old is doing in the world, sicovering the opposite sex. It's part of puberty and an important part of learning all about life.
If he gets sent away for this, i would imagine there will be serious repercussions from your son when he is older.

Abba - what do you want to do about it?
Also what does you son say in the matter, does he apreciate how unhappy his father is? I know this is easy me saying this (not being in your position) but this is the 21st centuary and things like this do happen. I still think sending him away is not going to do anyone any good, just the reverse in fact.

Then it is up to you, as a mother, to reason with your husband if you are not happy with it (again easier said than done).
I certainly know if it was one of my children then i would be fighting my husband to not send them away.
Explain to your husband that you son is not au fait with his culture and maybe not sure of what is expected from teenage Muslims, if he has not been brought up as a strict Muslim then maybe he is unaware that to have a girlfriend at 13 is just not allowed.

What, no girls in your hubby's hometown???? Believe me, some developing places are so repressed, a lot more goes on in the minds and hearts of men there than the simple act of having a girlfriend... chances are it will be more detrimental to your sons development to send him there. In fact, he might rebel and make like hell for both him and the family, better to stay with you and follow some good guiding principles.

Good luck Abba and stand up for your son, he'll thank you for it.
