I have a gorgeous 4 yr old girl with mid back healthy hair, however i have noticed that she has a bald patch the size of a 10c piece on the top of her head, with what looks liike cradle cap (dry skin).
Apart from taking her to the Docs, does anyone have any ideas of what i could do as i don't want to make a big deal out of it with her, i'd rather do it quietly and discreetly (does that make sense?)
Thanks.

Can anyone recommend massage or creams? I'm not keen on taking her to docs yet as don't want to make her self concious about it.

Please take your daughter to the doctor's. My nephew had something that sounds very similar and it was a fungal infection. He needed an anti-fungicide cream on prescription. There's a risk that hair won't grow back in affected areas, so the longer you leave it, the worse it could be. Also it could be contagious for other children.
Please make a doctor's appointment - if you don't make it a big deal, I'm sure she won't be self-conscious about it.

the bald patch with reddish dry skin - probably is what Honkyblues is referring - ringworm.
