This has been a hot topic in our house this week. I have to agree with Saikunga, with 5 of my own and many many more that come through our doors. The only children I ever hear say "I'm bored" are the ones who have every waking hour mapped out for them with activities - they just don't seem to know how to entertain themselves and constantly need directing. Firstly it's a nightmare when the child wants to sleep over but needs collecting from Fridays activity only to be dropped off early Saturday morning for tennis, or whatever. There's usually tears involved because they want to stay and play with all the others, getting filthy, making tents and just generally off exploring.
