You can look under the Hong Kong A - Z under the Resources drop down box on the left side. Or this is the company I use.

Medical insurance in HK is super cheap too... I can buy an international med insurance package in HK that covers treatment in the US (even if you leave HK for good) for FAR cheaper than I can buy a US policy.

As far as I know most individual 'expat' ie overseas policies, will not carry over if you move to the USA.... Would be intrested to learn which policy poor man is talking about?

Maybe I'm wrong... maybe it doesn't carry over if you move back... :(

What do you mean poor man "may be I'm wrong". Weren't you sure or had experienced it yourself before putting in your 2 senses??? Do you know your comment to this thread may had sparked something worth while to look into, if it was true??? I hope this forum do not become some ICQ where people just thrives on commenting on anything...

The poor man - no worries, I think it is really confusing with these policies as the large print says 'global, for every country' and the small print says 'except when you happen to move to North America, then we don't want you anymore'

But you should check with your insurance company/agent so that you know what you are and aren't covered for.

Do a search and read through previous threads on this very subject. And contrary to the poor man's view, I understand it can be very expensive here - not least because many policies, even the $$$$$ ones, only pay up to a certain amount (i.e. not a lot) per year for any out-patient treatment.

I agreed with Thames, it is very expensive here and with limited coverage too. Poor man's comment sparkled a new hope and perhaps my next renew big $$$saving. Well, "Cri", confusing policy or not, the bottom line is all it counts... And that's what we want to know, the fine prints too. Not just those attracitve eye capturing "WORDS"...
